Loni Verzuh Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Bend Oregon

Loni Verzuh, PMHNP

Loni is a dedicated and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a wealth of experience in the mental health care field. Having worked and studied in diverse settings ranging from inpatient psychiatric care to community-based psychiatry and integrative health, Loni brings a broad perspective to her practice. With a focus on holistic care, Loni strives to provide patient-centered medication management and therapy solutions. Her therapeutic approach is guided by her extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, particularly those pertaining to the nervous system. This in-depth knowledge allows her to offer personalized and effective treatment options to her patients.

Loni's commitment to ongoing professional development is evident in her pursuit of specialized certifications. She has completed certifications in Safe & Sound Protocols and Polyvagal theory through the Polyvagal Institute. Additionally, she has sought education in psychedelic work through institutions such as the Polaris Insight Center and Fluence training. With over 600 hours of experience facilitating ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions, Loni understands the importance and power of psychedelic medicine approaches.

Aside from her clinical work, Loni is passionate about maintaining her own mental well-being and work-life balance. In her leisure time, she immerses herself in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, snowboarding, whitewater paddleboarding, and hiking with Paisley. An avid backcountry rider, she obtained her avalanche level II certification, which allows her to venture into the backcountry and revel in the joy of discovering hidden powder stashes.

Nicholas Schaffer, QMHA

Nick is a qualified mental health associate (QMHA) and certified personal trainer who understands the importance of community. He has over a decade working in the mental health field and in the fitness industry. Nick believes that a holistic approach is fundamental to integrating past experiences and adopting new skills. He knows that each person is unique and has valuable insight and experiences that allow them to connect and be understood.

When Nick is out of the office, he enjoys many of Central Oregon’s best outdoor activities. He enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding and foraging for mushrooms with his dog Millie.

Paisley is a 20lb terrier healer mix who occasionally spends her time at the office meeting and greeting. The only thing she loves more than hiking and swimming are treats.
